Duties and Responsibilities
- Location: Delhi, India
- Patient Education & Advocacy: Explain urological conditions and treatment options (e.g., prostate cancer, kidney stones), provide pre/post-op education, and support informed decision-making.
- Care Coordination: Schedule appointments, coordinate diagnostic testing and specialist referrals, and ensure seamless transitions throughout treatment.
- Resource Navigation: Assist with insurance, financial authorizations, and access to resources like transportation or community support services.
- Post-Treatment Support: Provide follow-up education, monitor recovery, manage chronic conditions (e.g., UTIs, bladder issues), and ensure continuity of care.
- Case Management & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, track treatment progress, and communicate updates to the care team.
- Emotional & Psychosocial Support: Offer empathetic guidance and connect patients with mental health or counseling services when needed.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and participate in quality improvement initiatives based on patient feedback and care outcomes.
Education
High school diploma or GED (required)
Registered Nurse (RN) degree (recommended)
Medical Assistant experience (required)
CURN or relevant certification (preferred or required within a set timeframe)
Experience
- 3–5 years in nursing, preferably in urology, oncology, or care coordination
- Patient navigation or case management experience is a plus
Skills
Strong clinical knowledge in urology
Excellent communication and empathy
EHR and Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to navigate healthcare systems and solve care-related challenges
